UPMC Pancreas and Biliary Center
The Pancreas
and Biliary Center at UPMC offers world-class expertise for simple
and complex diseases of the pancreas and biliary tract, including
pancreatitis,
pancreatic cysts, gallbladder disease, pancreatic
cancer, sclerosing cholangitis, cystic fibrosis, and other disorders.
The center is one of the busiest centers of its kind in the country
and is internationally known for clinical expertise and research.
The Pancreas
and Biliary Center fosters an integrated and interdisciplinary approach
to patient care. Patients have access to a dedicated team of gastroenterologists,
radiologists, and surgeons specializing in advanced medical, endoscopic,
and surgical treatments for pancreatic and biliary diseases. Whenever
possible, minimally invasive surgical techniques are emphasized,
including endoscopic therapy and
laparoscopic surgery.
